European Commission, Department Environment saves up to 30% in energy consumption using sun-resistant, energy-saving window film from Luxafoil.

In the building of the European Commission-dg Environment in Brussels (Belgium), where the department Climate change and Kyoto resides, 2.300m² Luxafoil Clear View window films were installed.

This metallized window film does not only offer you solar control but also works energy-saving, and is installed on the inside of the glazing. The optic clarity or 'clear view' remains ideal.

The effect works both in summer and winter. Unique is also the guaranteed ‘Return on Investment’.

The European Commission gives the good example to obtain the Kyoto standards and keeps the energy invoice of her buildings under control.

The European Commission has recently reached an agreement on measures to counter global warming : by 2020 Europe has to use 20% less energy as well as reduce its CO2 emissions by 20%.

Luxafoil Clear View is a Belgian, revolutionary concept that offers an innovative and environment-friendly alternative for heat- and building control.The window films block 93% of the infrared heat rays and 99% of the ultraviolet rays.

Energy savings for buildings rested with air-conditioning and with Luxafoil Clear View amount to an average of 30% during the months May to October. In the summer Luxafoil Clear View lowers the internal temperature up to 10 °c and the solar heat is reflected outside

During the winter the effect in both directions works. By its unique composition, the film increases the thermal isolation in the winter and keeps the warmth in the chamber. This gives energy savings to an average of 17 to 25% in the winter dependent of the type of glazing.
